Abel Chungu Musuka

Abel Chungu is a gospel singer but his music is so popular that his songs flood mainstream Zambian radio and have won numerous awards including ZMAs and Kwacha Music Awards. His music style is a mix of rock, reggae, R&B and rap and his recent song “Extra Time” remained number 1 on the charts for weeks. In addition to being a talented singer, Abel is also a comedian, and a powerful social advocate.

Esther Chungu

Esther is a Zambian gospel music sensation whose 2016 debut album had multiple hits and led her to be honored at the “Anakazi Women of the Year Awards.” Her music video “Paka Paka” has been nominated for the US-based Sauti Awards. She has performed internationally, including the Pamoji Festival in Burundi with notable international artists including Brian McKnight.

Ephraim “Son of Africa” Mutalange

One of Zambia’s most endeared and longest standing popular Gospel singers, Ephraim has released seven albums and won multiple local and international awards. He performs in three languages across Africa, Australia, the UK, and the U.S., and has been involved with HIV prevention since 2006.

James Sakala

James is a recording artist, song writer, guitarist, percussionist, and music producer with more than 10 years of experience. James records in the style of traditional Zambian music to keep Zambian traditions and customs alive. He critically acclaimed album “Insale” features the late afro Jazz legend Dr. Oliver Mtukudzi.

Kondwani Kaira aka “Chef 187”

Chef 187 is one of Zambian’s top Hip Hop/Rap artists. He is extremely popular with young people in Zambia. Chef 187 has won numerous awards including multiple ZMAs for Best Album, Best Hip-Hop Song, Best Male Performer, Best Mainstream Male Artist and Best Collaboration. In the focus groups the UkaniManje team conducted, Chef 187 was the youths’ favorite artist.

Mwila Musonda aka “Slap Dee”

Popularly known as “King Dezo,” Slap Dee is the most searched Zambian artist on Google. Since starting his career in 2006, he has earned multiple awards, including a Ngoma Music Award, AFRIMM Award nomination for Best Male (artist) Southern Africa, 9 ZMA awards for Best Male Hip Hop Artist and 6 Sun FM Kwacha Music Awards.

Able Manongo aka “God’s General”

God’s General is one of the brightest stars in the Gospel music industry in Zambia today. He has produced four albums and won the Gospel Envoys “Artist of the Year” in 2013 and 2018 respectively. He is also the CEO and founder of Mcmans Music Entertainment.

Chileshe Bwalya

Chileshe is a Zambian Gospel singer who featured on the music video “Worth More.” She is internationally known and has just completed a month-long tour of the US. Her awards include a Kwacha Music Award for Best Gospel Song and Best Female Artist as well as the 2016 Women’s Award “Songbird of the Year.

Daxon Banda

Daxon is the leader of an immensely popular Zambian band known as Ma Africa. Ma Africa is a four-member Afro-pop group that constantly innovates new trends in Zambian music, including a viral national dance trend the “Chimwemwe Dance.” Ma Africa has won numerous awards including the 2018 Kwacha Award for Best Group.

Victoria Mhone aka “Wezi”

Wezi is undoubtedly Zambia’s most enigmatic afro-soul singer and songwriter. She has won the 2016 ZMA, 2017 & 2018 Sun FM Kwacha Music Awards, and a 2019 Ngoma Award as well as numerous international awards. She was also nominated as Zambian Woman of the Year. She has performed with world class acts such as UB40, Boys 2 Men, Brian McKnight, Joss Stone, and Oliver Mtukudzi.
